Is your child struggling with adolescence?

It’s not just adults that feel the pressure and stress of everyday living. Teenagers too can struggle to cope with their emotions and behaviour, whether it’s at home or at school. If you’re looking for a child psychologist in Chatswood who can engage with your teenager and find out what’s troubling them throughout their adolescent years, then why not make an appointment to bring them to see our psychologist? She has expertise in treating depression, anxiety, behaviour and social problems, and parenting difficulties. She can even help families struggling to adjust to bereavement, divorce, grief, and other life difficulties.

What to expect at your first counselling appointment

Whether you’re seeking help for post-traumatic stress disorder or depression and anxiety, Chatswood patients will find their appointment to be quite different from visiting a doctor. The psychologist will ask you lots of questions about you and your life in order to get a better understanding of your situation. Questions may include why you’ve sought help, what’s been going on in your life and where you are now, and your current symptoms. This last question is designed to see whether you may be suffering other symptoms from your problem. For instance, your problem could be causing difficulties in your place of work.
